Hilary Swank recently spoke about her three year hiatus from acting. Swank has no regrets about putting her acting career on pause to care for her father Philip before and after he had a lung transplant. “It was supposed to be a year, because it takes a year to see if an organ transplant takes. A lung transplant is the most difficult of all, as it’s an incredibly delicate organ,’ the Nebraska-born explained in the September edition Health.
“I became my dad’s health advocate. One year quickly turned into two, and then three. And, thank God, prayers were answered. He is healthy and doing really well five-plus years later.”
Swank posted on a mountain side in Colorado where she and her second husband Philip Schneider have been spending their time during the coronavirus lockdown.
Swank will soon return to the screen in a new Netflix series called “Away” where she ‘struggles with leaving her husband [Josh Charles] and daughter [Talitha Bateman] behind to embark on a dangerous mission with an international space crew.’
