We reported that Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough made claims about sexist and racist behavior from the “America’s Got Talent” executives. Simon Cowell and his company that produce the show issued a statement that they takes these claims seriously and are investigating them.
Now Howard Stern, who was once a judge on the talent show offered his opinion on the situation saying the Simon Cowell orchestrates all of it. “He sets it up that the men stay, no matter how ugly they are, no matter how old they are, no matter how fat they are, no matter how talentless they are,” Stern said adding, he continuously switches out female judges for “hotter chicks and younger chicks.” Union and Hough were the replacements for Heidi Klum and Mel B.
SAG-AFTRA confirmed that the union has launched an investigation into the reasoning behind Union’s firing, telling Variety in a statement, “While we have taken steps to investigate this matter, we have nothing to report now.”
