Kanye West unleashed a series of Tweets aimed at his Universal Music Group Record label declaring that he refuses to release any more music until he is released from his contract.
Warning his fans that record label contracts are set up to benefit the company, Ye said he spoke with the board of UMG’s parent company Vivendi about having “transparency” in contracts. ”
When you sign a music deal you sign away your rights. Without the masters you can’t do anything with your own music. Someone else controls where it’s played and when it’s played. Artists have nothing accept the fame, touring and merch

Kanye went on to post photos of label executives adding that without touring “artist are starving.” West said “i don’t speak with non billionaire employees” and encouraged the label execs to fly out to him.
