Tom Cruise is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood so he is afforded the right to call some of the shots while filming a movie. One of his many rules is that he does most of his own stunts. The actor takes great pride in his running ability and doesn’t allow any co-stars to run along with him.
Annabelle Wallis, who starred with Cruise in the 2017 Universal Pictures remake of “The Mummy”, opened up about working with him in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday. She says she earned the rare distinction of running with Cruise on screen, though she revealed it took some convincing.
“He told me no at first. He said, “Nobody runs on-screen [with me],” and I said, ‘But I’m a really good runner,”‘Wallis revealed. “So, I would time my treadmill so that he’d walk in and see me run. And then he added all these running scenes,” she continued.
